University Health Network has recently entered into an agreement with VITALL Intelligence, a Toronto-based digital health solutions leader with a mission to create smarter, more connected care, intended to bring its AI-enhanced digital health platform, Medly, to more heart failure patients. Created by UHN Inventors of the Year 2022, Drs. Heather Ross and Joseph Cafazzo, Medly has already transformed care for more than 2,500 patients since launching at UHN in 2018.
Now, leveraging its innovative health data utility platform, VITALL plans to integrate Medly’s heart-failure technology to enable broader, scalable service delivery—starting in North America, with future expansion anticipated globally.
Medly – a Class II Medical Device – is a digital therapeutic platform for the remote care, management, and engagement of patients at home through easy-to-use ubiquitous technologies – such as a smartphone, supporting patients living with heart failure and other chronic conditions.
